摘要: Optical frequency combs are broadband light sources consisting of equidistant grid of frequencies.
Over the past decades, optical frequency combs have revolutionized the fields of timing, spectroscopy and metrology.
A recent breakthrough is the generation of frequency combs in optical microresonators based on photonic integrated circuit (PIC), thanks to the established semiconductor nano-fabrication technology.
This new type of frequency combs, often called as “microcombs”, enables scalable, chip-scale, turnkey frequency combs at battery power consumption level, and have now reached a commercialization level for industrial applications.
大华彩票 The talks given by Dr. Hairun Guo and Junqiu Liu will cover the fundamental operational principles and latest technical development (particularly the fabrication process) in the field of integrated microcombs, as well as several key applications using microcombs for chip-scale frequency synthesizers, optical clocks, LIDAR, dual-comb spectroscopy, microwave photonics, as well as astrophysical spectometer calibration.
